Windward Project Management

Windward Project Management is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) founded in 2009. Windward provides project management technical training, consulting support, and instructional design services to help project managers, project team members, and client organizations successfully meet the challenges of planning and executing projects.

Customized training, workshops, and consulting services are offered through client organizations to employees and contractors supporting projects. Scheduling is determined by the organization requesting the engagement in coordination with the Windward team.

The “Windward” Vision –
Training that Goes...
Beyond the Theory!

The vision for Windward Project Management’s training programs grew out of the strong belief by the founders that they could provide a learning experience that encourages real project issues to be addressed and allows project management tools and techniques to be directly applied in the client’s workplace.

Over the years, Windward has worked with diverse client organizations to –

Address project “pain points” with client-specific courses, workshops, and consulting services

Prepare project managers and teams to respond to complex project issues and stakeholder demands

Customize training content and instructor delivery to address requested learning outcomes

Guide organizations in the implementation of strategic project initiatives

Windward combines the expertise and capabilities of project management practitioner experience, facilitation and consulting skills, and instructional systems design to target client requirements and project challenges. Windward really does approach each training, workshop, and consulting engagement as a unique event.

The Windward Name

“Windward” symbolizes facing the adversities encountered in managing projects.
Often there are multiple obstacles trying to inhibit progress. There is uncertainty and potential risk events. This is definitely true when navigating a small boat along the rocky coast of Maine!
